Responsabilidades

Primary Function:

Provide analytical support applying different techniques such as physical-chemical analysis, microscopy, liquid chromatography and rheology (viscosity, texture and physical tests).

Support the analytical team in all housekeeping demands as well as performing analytical reports and interface with external partners as suppliers and maintenance services.

Reports to:      Analytical Coordinator, South America

Business

• Support the Development and Application teams to attend their analytical needs in new ingredients or new products with ingredients from our portfolio;
• Characterize the ingredients from competitors to identify alternative products from Ingredion’s portfolio or present the new opportunity to develop a new ingredient or solution for customer;
• Define and implement simple plans to support the implementation of new methods in parallel with the analytical routine with focus on the results.

• Support the analytical team to deliver the analytical reports on time and to reduce cost of analysis;
• Develop alternative suppliers and avoiding the wasted time and waste of resources;
• Bring new ideas to improve some process to offer better results;
• Be flexible and agile to work during periods of change and uncertainties

• Be proactive to help the others in projects and routine activities as a team with focus on the strategy;
• Be open to learn and receive feedback to improve the results and create a collaborative environment;

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements

• Degree qualified (graduation in Chemical, Pharmacy, Food Engineering or Chemical Engineering);
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in analytical laboratory;
• Ability to perform analysis in laboratory, prepare chemical solution, elaborate reports and registration of material and procedures;
• Critical sense to plan the daily activities according to the demand;
• Good communication with the partners and external customer to ensure the alignment of activities and expectations;

Analytical rigor and high level or proficiency with Word, Excell and Power Point tools; Analyst Sr. – Analytical Laboratory

• Good written and verbal communication;
• Flexible, commitment and works well on own initiative;
• Intermediate English (read / written and oral comprehension); Spanish (oral comprehension).

• Compiles data, records and documents results of experiments and procedures in the lab notebook;
• Supports sales to implement new ingredients, applications or formulations opportunities;
