Responsibilities
This is a full time role reporting to the LATAM Region GM and dotted line to the Diana Petfood Global Safety BP. His/her main tasks will be:
- Support local teams on safety actions prioritization and control measures application on site key risks
- Provide techinical support and supervision to the local safety professionals within the plants
- Coordinate jointly with the Regional leadership team & Plant Managers integration of safety aspects & risk mitigation actions at early stages of new projects, lines, expansions, etc
- Lead the roll out of the Regional Safety Road Map towards a preventive safety culture, aligned with the Global & Regional strategy
- Support local teams on identifying legal requirements and defining safety regulation compliance actions
- Lead jointly with regional operational team identification of continuous improvement actions as well as corrective actions arrising from safety incidents
- Identify and share best practices, lessons learned and follow up execution within the region
- Perform safety audits and inspections
- Facilitate safety trainings at regional level , aligned with the Global & Regional strategy
- Provide expertise to field teams on the deployment of safety programs and initiatives
- Provide technical support on local Risk Asessements and Control measures deployment
- Provide support as needed on Technical solutions for Safety CAPEX definition
- Identify and escalade support needs towards Global Level
- Support on identification and escalation of safety non compliances to Regional management
- Coordinate and animate the regional goverance, reporting and exchanges within safety professionals on the region
- Provide support the Regional GMs on running the Governance & Safety Performance Reviews
- Support local teams on safety actions prioritization and control measures application on site key risks

Qualification
- Graduated / Master degree on safety, environmental or relevant discipline.
- Experience of increasing of responsabilities in the health & safety area , including leadership positions.
- Experienced on manufacturing operations. Ability to travel up to 35%
- Good communication, team coordination & people management skills. Hands on profile
- Experiecend on animating safety committes, governance & safety community interactions
- Ability to develop and implement safety plans / actions aligned to the broader organizational goals & strategies.
- Demonstrated knowledge on regional safety regulation & delivering safety trainings
- Experienced on new sites ramp up is a plus
- Fluent in English and Portuguese is a must. Spanish is also highly desirable
- Previous experiences on multiple sites support is a plus
