Associate Food Safety Specialist – Especialista de Qualidade e Segurança dos Alimentos – Mars Wrigley Confectionary – Guararema, SP

 

This position provides technical leadership in implementation of Food Safety elements of the Quality Management Process (QMP). Drives project management and continuous improvement of their designated site for Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS) Management systems that enable the reliable delivery of products that meet all external legislative requirements and all internal Quality &Food Safety global standards.

 

What are we looking for?

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, Chemistry or related technical field and internship in quality and food safety in a manufacturing environment and or combination of education and demonstrated success in relevant manufacturing/quality experience
• Knowledge of Food safety risk, identification and management, HACCP and prerequisite controls.
• Knowledge of and experience with ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems.
• Knowledge of GMP, GLP, food allergens, pest control, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
• Experience with GFSI Quality Systems such as SQF, BRC, FSSC22000, ISO9000 or ISO17025.

 

Preferred

• Solid experience in different quality related areas such as raw materials, distribution, manufacturing or solid experience in a manufacturing site managing quality and food safety management systems responsible position related to food safety or Quality and food safety management system.

 

 

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Provide technical expertise to the site and help with the technical development of the members of the team in the site for Food Safety.
• Provide technical expertise in Food Safety to support applications in the factory for innovations, new raw materials and engineering projects.
• Provide governance to HACCP and Food Safety Plan within the site, provide input to the Value stream Food safety. Food Safety Team Leader at the site. Manage validation of CCP/OPRP preventive controls programs within the site.
• Provide governance to the Q&FS Fundamental Standards: Microbiological verification, Environmental monitoring Program, Mycotoxins, Allergens, HACCP, Cleaning and Sanitation programs.
• Development and roll out of food safety training to the site and support functions (HACCP, Basic Food Safety).
• Responsible for providing site input for Material Risk Assessments (MRA’s) and Packaging Risk Assessments (PRA´s).
• Lead root cause analysis investigation of food safety incidents and effective implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
• Define and manage micro analytical program for the site, including trainings.
• In partnership with the Value Stream Lead represent R&D at change management and handover meetings to ensure Food Safety deliverables.
• Translate external food safety requirements such as regulations or customer needs into procedures or best practices for site.
