About the position
Key goals of the position
Enables discovery, development, and product life-cycle management of nutrition products by providing regulatory solutions and strategy to ensure product innovation, regulatory compliance and timely product registration.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a nutrition regulatory environment
- BS degree in Pharmacy/Nutrition/Food Engineer or a related technical discipline
- Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance with nutrition, interpreting regulatory issues
- Talent to read, analyze and interpret the impact of regulatory changes for appliances
- Accurately processes, documents and provides timely information
- Talent to communicate across cultures, with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Level of English – upper-intermediate (fluent)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Management of research or international regulation databases is a plus
- Project management experience helpful
- Good in communicating and presenting technical data (both verbally and written) to influence multiple audiences in English and relevant market language
- First experience in the use of related analytical or scientific software, databases and applications to include use of typical office suite software packages would be beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills are a must
Job duties - You will
1. Represent the Business Line (BL) from technical regulatory perspective in front of other areas of expertise within the Region, USA Headquarters and Local Suppliers
2. Coordinate any BL communication among the Region.
3. Act as contact point to Global Regulatory, Marketing, Communications, Supply Chain and Project Management for technical and regulatory issues related to the respective BL.
4. Provide timely and clear communication for any regulatory issue relating to the BL represented.
5. Support Management with technical regulatory advices for the represented BL at region level.
6. Provide timely and accurate impact assessment of current and developing regulations at regional level as they affect Amway and ABG products and inform about potential future business opportunities/risk with regard to imminent regulatory changes.
7. Understand and follow all procedures to ensure new products assessment and product launches for the region.
8. Ensure the BL product registration/amendments/renewal approvals within the cluster region.
9. Advice for any product / project related to the BL for the region, including product, ingredient, labeling and claims assessment and keep track of answers
10. Request registration documents both from the headquarters and/or external suppliers, and keep track of them (CVLs apostilled, formulas signed and adapted to the needs of each country, certificates of analysis, product and packaging specifications, special documents by country, etc)
11. Assist Regional Marketing with product literature development/review to ensure compliance with regulations and with technical product information as required.
12. Establish working relationships with trade association or RPI team, supporting and providing requested information timely
13. Support Customer Service regarding ABO technical doubts to the BL, when needed
14. Develop KMT product sheets for new launches to the BL in the region
15. Keep internal local databases updated (overlabel control, inbound control, registration control, PLM MKT/MASTER Dossier)
16. Support Supply Chain on Product Importation Process, specially Health authorities request.

The Regulatory Affairs Team in Innovation & Science works with global cross-functional partners to ensure regulatory and safety compliance of Amway products sold globally. Working in a global setting, you will lead cross-functional regional teams to monitor and interpret the impact of current, pending, and future product regulations and safety requirements. This team provides counsel to cross functional product development teams in the Durables, Beauty, Home & Personal Care areas, on product labeling, safety, claims and registration requirements to meet deadlines for product launches.
