As a Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist at Mars, you will assure compliance to our supplier management and risk assessment standards/plans. You will lead supplier audits, while acting as the subject matter expert regarding the ingredient or material for which you are leading. Your goal will be to mitigate any recall risk, actively support on our value creation journey and assure that we are delivery the best quality products possible to our customers

What are we looking for?

• 3-5 years of experience in a technical area such as R&D product development, quality or engineering at the food industry
• Ability to travel 50-70% of the time.
• Knowledge in quality and food safety, troubleshooting ability, familiarity with food law and regulatory guidelines, process Improvement methodologies, food processing equipment and controls
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree at food science, food engineering, chemical engineering of pharmacy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Proficient foreign language (Spanish & English mandatory)

Preferred

• Experience in auditing
• FSSC22000 Lead Auditor certification

What will be your key responsibilities?

• You will provide expertise in the processing of raws and packaging materials and ingredients for MARS local and global business.
• Lead several aspects of the supplier relationship, including food safety and quality management programs, new supplier developments, support on innovations, supply security and value creation, lead supplier quality audits, risk assessments and continuous improvement projects.
• Partnering with our internal buyers to ensure all material specifications are reviewed, understood, and agreed to by the suppliers.
